Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has urged his team to step up their performance following a disappointing 4-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur. The loss marks an unusual slump for the reigning Premier League champions, who are unaccustomed to losing consecutive matches.

City’s hopes for a recovery were dashed as Spurs, coming off two consecutive defeats, secured a commanding victory. Goals from Pedro Porro, Brennan Johnson, and James Maddison sealed the win for Tottenham, leaving Guardiola’s side searching for answers.

Speaking in a post-match interview, Guardiola expressed his frustration and emphasized the need for immediate improvement:

“We are not used to losing so many games in a row. That’s happened. We have to do everything to change, especially the next one.”

City’s next opportunity to bounce back comes in the UEFA Champions League, where they will host Feyenoord at the Etihad. Following that, they face a challenging Premier League clash against Liverpool at Anfield.

The recent defeats highlight a dip in form for City, and Guardiola’s men will need to regroup quickly to maintain their momentum in both domestic and European competitions.
