The mother of Nigerian music icon, 2Baba (2face) Idibia, has broken her silence on the challenges surrounding her son’s marriage to Annie Idibia, shedding light on their troubled relationship and ongoing divorce proceedings.

Speaking candidly, 2Baba’s mother revealed that she embraced Annie Idibia wholeheartedly, despite her son having five children from previous relationships before their marriage.
“I welcomed Annie into our family with open arms, believing she was the right person for my son. She had been with him through his rise to fame, and I was happy to see him settling down,” she said.

“Whenever I wanted to visit, she would say they wouldn’t be around and would let me know when they returned. When I needed help, she would say they were struggling too,” she added.

“Annie accused me of supporting my son, which wasn’t true. Then one day, she insulted me, calling me a witch and a wicked woman. It was heartbreaking. My family, including 2Baba’s siblings and cousins, also faced similar insults.”

“I have asked my son to withdraw the divorce case and work towards resolving their differences. My biggest concern now is Annie’s health, as she is currently in rehab for drug abuse. I pray for her recovery and hope they can reconcile for the sake of their children.”
