Fire at Spanish Retirement Home in Villafranca de Ebro Kills 10

A devastating fire at a retirement home in Villafranca de Ebro, located in northeastern Spain, has claimed the lives of at least 10 people, according to local emergency services. The blaze broke out early on Friday morning, around 5:00 am (0400 GMT), in the Aragon region.

While the exact cause of the fire remains under investigation, Spanish media reports indicate that there were 82 people inside the retirement home at the time of the incident. Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to the scene, but tragically, 10 individuals have been confirmed dead.

The regional emergency services shared the update on X, though additional details are yet to be released.
