A father is wanted by Imo state police in Nigeria for allegedly assaulting and breaking his two-month-old baby’s arm.
According to reports, the 31-year-old dad beat his infant with a plastic clothes hanger for disturbing his sleep.
His wife said to the BBC that the man grabbed her phone, locked her and the child in a room, and threatened to notify the neighbors if she didn’t keep it a secret.

Two days later, she eventually managed to flee, taking her infant to the hospital where the arm was removed.
The baby’s doctor, Dr. Chiedozie Mbalewe, told the BBC that the amputation was necessary to save the child’s life.
The mother has filed a case report and the suspect is currently on the run.
